The Somerset Berkley Softball League provides a fun and competitive softball experience for girls ages 4 to 18 years old.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit/charitable organization made up entirely of volunteers.
Our softball program typically runs from early April to early July each year. During this time, we offer the opportunity to learn the sport of softball in a fun, relaxed, yet competitive environment.
We encourage all parents, coaches, and players alike to learn as much as possible and be competitive, yet ensure we always put player development and a fun team environment first.
Our 8U, 10U, 12U, and Senior divisions will typically practice weekly and participate in two to three games per week.
Our Instructional Division (4-6 years of age) meets once a week and the program is designed to teach the early up and coming players the fundamentals of softball including teamwork, fielding, foot work, hand/eye coordination, agility, and batting.
We look forward to warmer weather and the start of the 2024 Softball season.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at
[email protected]. Volunteers are always welcome to work alongside the board in areas such as fund-raising ideas, coaching, assistant coaching, field maintenance and up-keep, grounds maintenance. We strongly encourage all of our parents to actively participate in the day-to-day operation of the league. Your input and participation is an assurance that we continue to look at every opportunity to make our league better year over year for all of our girls who love the sport of softball.
Please note: All volunteers must complete a USA Softball background check and be SafeSport Certified. No access to fields, training facilities, or team areas will be allowed without either one.
